Last Year L’Oreal Paris had launched Color Riche Moist Matte lipstick as part of their Cannes collection. Their Moistt Matt were quite a big hit among girls. Now they have started the Year 2015 with a bang by launching their Matt Red Lipstick collection called –“Color Riche Collection Star Range”. This one is going to be a delight for Red Lipstick lovers.
What’s exciting about this range is that this range is totally focused on reds. You will find all shades of reds in one place and each shade is chosen by L’Oreal’s brand ambassadors including our Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor and Frieda Pinto. There are total 7 shades of reds in this range and each shade is signed by one celebrity.

The 7 Shades are:
Pure Garnet – Deep Wine shade red picked by Sonam Kapoor.
Pure Scarleto -A warm toned bright red picked by Blake Lively. Another shade I am eyeing
Pure Rouge – Cool Tone based red or rather I would say chilli red. Picked by Frieda Pinto. On my list next, said to be dupe of Famous MAC Ruby Woo
Pure Vermeil – Coral/Peach Based red. Another great shade to try on
Pure Brick – Dirty Bright Red. Picked by Aishwarya Rai
Pure Amaranthe -Pink Based Red. It is actually pink though
Pure Fire- Orange Based Red. It is Orange though
L’Oreal Paris Pure Garnet is a deep wine shaded red lipstick and is picked by our fashionista Sonam Kapoor. This is a great shade to flaunt around this winters. I have not seen this shade in other ranges, so quite excited by this shade. This shade is somewhat similar to the Marsala -Pantone’s color of the of the year. It is the darkest shade in this range and most matt also. This is one of the most darkest shade I have worn till date, but once it was on my lips I didn’t wanted to take it off at all.
For nights, it is going to be one of my most worn shades. It looks super sexy. It will easily survive the meals, so no touch ups required. Just put on your favorite date/party top , team it up with this lipstick and minimal eye make up and you are ready to rock.
Though this is a very dark shade I would still not mind wearing it during day time, whenever I am going for a casual brunch or a meet with my girlies. If you are wearing this in day time, I would suggest you to go with light colors for your attire, as this lippie is quite eye catching. You sure don’t want to look like a color candy 🙂
Why the Love:
- Great Pigmentation
- Superab Staying power. Stayed on me for 5-6 hours. Survives snacks too
- Easy to apply and despite of being matt, it is not drying. Use a balm underneath, if you have extremely dry lips
- Loved the black packaging. Its so sexy
- Its easy to locate the shades, with the indicator in the front
- Easily available around counters
- Price is on the higher side, but then every brand seems to be increasing their prices.
- Since it is intensely dark, you need to be careful while applying this shade. Use lip liner if you are not a pro at applying dark lip sticks.
Price: Rs 995
